We are excited to announce the newest owner of Pirtek: Zach McNelis. A proud husband and father of five, Zach looks forward to building a legacy he can pass on to his children.
Who Is Zach McNelis?
Having earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, completed Microsoft Systems Engineer training, and provided military IT consulting services in the Middle East, Zach has extensive experience with computers and technology.
But that is only one part of Zach’s well-rounded resume. He also has a wealth of customer-relations and management experience, and he currently serves as the VP of Customer Experience with a cloud-storage consulting business.
Zach currently lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Courtney, and their five children, ranging in age from 9 to 17.
Why Did Zach Make a Career Change?
Despite the success he has enjoyed throughout his professional career, Zach, like so many people, did not find the corporate world fulfilling.
So, he started exploring other options and stumbled upon the Franchising 101 Podcast.
The episodes resonated deeply with Zach, who discovered that he wanted the freedom and control that comes from owning your own franchise. He had already put in enough 60+ hour days, and he wanted to have more time to spend with his family.
Greater freedom and control of his time aside, Zach also found the prospect of building something for his own family – instead of building something for someone else – to be especially attractive.

In addition to all of the experience and hard skills Zach brings to the table, he also has two key soft skills that are sure to pay dividends in this new venture.
First of all, Zach has a clear talent for seeing the big picture. He has the ability to see how all of the small components of an organization interact to create a complete business with a value that exceeds the sum of its parts.
He also has a gift for seeing the long-term potential of a business and solving the problems necessary to ensure it is successful. As FranCoach CEO, Tim Parmeter, explains “Zach seems to just have an understanding of what it takes to build a business and execute a strategic vision.”
Why Did Zach Choose Pirtek?
