Who Is Maurice Rios?

U.S. Army veteran Maurice has an incredible diversity of work and life experience. In addition to his military accolades, Maurice holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering as well as an executive MBA. Throughout his corporate career, he has also developed extensive knowledge of sales and marketing. Maurice and his wife Brandy, who works as an office manager, live in the Houston area. This husband-and-wife duo is thrilled to take on their next adventure together!

Why Did Maurice Make a Career Change?

While Maurice enjoyed many aspects of his previous job, he knew that he eventually wanted to go out on his own. Frustrated by the lack of autonomy in his corporate workplace, he saw franchise ownership as an opportunity to take control of his life and work for himself, on his own terms. Initially, Maurice came to FranCoach with an interest in owning a coffee shop – his daughter, then 21, was working as a barista and had some knowledge of the food sector. 

Once Maurice started working with franchise coach Phillip Elliott, however, he realized that the world of home services was an even better fit. Maurice liked the project-based nature of these businesses and appreciated that he would get to enhance his customers’ living spaces and lives as a whole.
