A former member of the military and a former electrician, Jarvis had spent the last several years working as a train conductor — a job that came with a grinding five-days-on, two-days-off rotation. It meant holidays, weekends, and time with his wife Tonya were never guaranteed. Jarvis wanted off the train, literally and figuratively, and he wanted to build something that was his.
