An Experienced Teacher Is Set to Offer Classes on a Different Subject: Kyla Danos
onWe are excited to announce the newest owner of British Swim School: Kyla Danos. An art teacher with more than 15 years of experience, Kyla chose an education-oriented franchise that will certainly play to her strengths. We’re excited to see how far she can take this new endeavor!
Who Is Kyla Danos?
Kyla is an accomplished teacher with a passion for art and creativity. She currently lives in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with her husband (who is also a school teacher) and the couple’s four-year old child.
The couple has travelled quite a bit, and they even taught school in Kazakhstan and Georgia before settling down in their current hometown. For the time being, Kyla will spearhead the couple’s efforts with British Swim School, while Josh will continue to work as a teacher. However, they hope to work together as a husband-and-wife team as soon as circumstances allow.
Why Did Kyla Danos Make a Career Change?
While she loves the act of teaching, Kyla grew frustrated with several aspects of the job over time.
Among other things, she became tired of dealing with untrusting and overprotective parents, the poor salary, and the fact that she was often tasked with teaching subjects other than art. Also, like many others who begin considering franchise opportunities, she wanted more control of her time and financial future.
All of these things led Kyla to contact the FranCoach team and begin exploring possible franchise opportunities.

Why Will Kyla Danos Make a Great Franchise Owner?
The combination of her extensive teaching experience and willingness to be the face of a company, who’ll help manage customer relationships will surely help set Kyla up for success. She also intends to lead the company’s sales efforts at the outset – something that some prospective franchise owners are reluctant to do.
Kyla will also be able to use her exceptional mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills while building and working with a team – something that was very important to Kyla from the outset.
It’s also important to note that Kyla will also benefit from Josh’s support. Even though Kyla will be taking the reins at the outset, she and Josh will both contribute to the overall success of the venture over time.
Franchise coach Graham Chapman certainly thinks the couple are destined for big things with their new business, explaining that “As career teachers, they both have a passion for making a real difference in their community. They’ll be able to do just that as British Swim School owners as they build an excellent team equipped to teach critical life skills to countless children in and around Idaho Falls, ID.”
Why Did Kyla Danos Choose British Swim School?
As occasionally happens with prospective franchise owners, Kyla ended up selecting a franchise that was quite different from the ones she’d initially been interested in.
At the beginning of her franchise ownership journey, Kyla wanted to open a fun restaurant or winery. But after initial discussions with her franchise coach, it became apparent that she didn’t have the financial resources to break into this space. Additionally, the hospitality-industry lifestyle wasn’t the ideal match for her family.
This led Kyla to look at other options, and she ultimately decided that British Swim School was the perfect fit.
Initially founded in Manchester, England, British Swim School provides lessons that help people of all experience levels become safer and stronger swimmers. The school’s programs embrace gentle teaching methods and a “survival first” approach that focuses on teaching water-survival skills before moving on to more complicated techniques. Programs are available for participants of all ages, from three months of age to adults.
Another important factor in Kyla’s decision-making process was British Swim School’s parent company, Buzz Franchise Brands. Knowing that she and her husband would have access to this kind of support helped the couple feel even more comfortable about their decision.
Graham certainly agrees, explaining that “I am confident Kyla and Josh will have the support they need from a home office comprised of experienced, high character franchise leaders.”
Please join our team at FranCoach in congratulating Kyla Danos and wishing her luck as a new owner of British Swim School.
