A Strategic Thinker Zeroes in on the Perfect Franchise: Colin Clark

Who Is Colin Clark?

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business in 2006, Colin went on to work in a number of different industries. 

Most recently, Colin was the Director of Procurement (Interim) for the St Charles Health System, but before that he worked in client services and served in several management and business development roles. He also founded and operated his own van conversion company for several years, so he is no stranger to entrepreneurship.  

Colin currently lives in Bend, Oregon, with his wife, Karen, and their three children, ages 12, 14, and 16.  

Why Did Colin Clark Make a Career Change?

Despite having quite a bit of success in the corporate world, Colin grew tired of its many downsides. 

He did not like the political games that are rampant in these environments, nor did he enjoy some of the peer management aspects that always seem to be part of the gig. Additionally, as a strategic thinker, Colin was frustrated by the fact that he could not consistently affect change when it was needed. 

But all of things aside, there was one other key challenge Colin faced: There just are not many high-level corporate jobs available in his current location, and he was not interested in relocating.

Given these factors, Colin began considering the potential of becoming a franchise owner, and listening to the Franchising 101 Podcast. Eventually, he reached out to the team and began exploring some of the options that seemed like the best fit.  

Why Will Colin Clark Make a Great Franchise Owner?

Running a successful franchise often means wearing a variety of hats – something Colin has done throughout his career. But most importantly, he has significant leadership and strategic skills, which will undoubtedly allow him to succeed in this venture.

Why Did Colin Clark Choose Pirtek?
